The majority of eye problems do not require you to go to a Hospital. Investigation, diagnosis and treatment can often be performed in a practice like ours which has purpose built consulting rooms and state-of-art equipment designed for this type of service.
Since becoming a private practice in 2020 we have been able to offer this ground breaking service in association with eye specialists, Elite Eye Clinic. Their ophthalmologists can investigate, diagnose and treat many types of common eye problem within our practice. For more complicated eye conditions Elite Eye Clinic are able to arrange surgical treatment at a number of local private eye hospitals or, if you choose, can refer you to the NHS. If required, our eye specialists are happy to liaise with your current eye care practitioner to manage your treatment.
Diagnosis
You can have your eye problem diagnosed by a consultant ophthalmologist.
If you have a problem with your eyes that you or your optometrist feel requires diagnosis then we can arrange an appointment for you to visit a consultant ophthalmologist here at our practice.
Whatever investigation you require our latest state-of-the-art equipment is capable of performing a customised and comprehensive examination giving the consultant the best possible information to base your diagnosis on.
Investigation
Using state-of-the-art investigative equipment is only part of diagnosing your eye condition.
Investigation of your eye condition will require experience, knowledge and often considerable skill on the part of the ophthalmologist to interpret the results of any investigative examinations that you have.
Once your eye problem has been diagnosed you will, no doubt, want to have it explained. Our ophthalmologists are happy to explain your condition and answer any questions you may have.
Treatment
Whatever treatment your eyes need we can arrange it for you.
When your eye problem has been diagnosed by your ophthalmologist you may need to be offered a treatment plan.
Whether you need eye drops, surgery or a follow-up appointment this will be arranged for you.
You can choose to be treated privately or referred to the NHS via your General Practitioner (GP).
Our ophthalmologist is happy to discuss treatment costs and current NHS waiting times for your condition.
Surgery
If you require eye surgery we can arrange for you to attend a local hospital or eye clinic
If you require surgery the ophthalmologist you consult at our practice can arrange for you to have surgery performed at one of our local private Hospitals or London’s Harley Street enclave.

The ophthalmologists who attend our practice are able to accept patients who have Private Health Insurance (PHI) policies with most of the leading insurers.
